Why do we have variable sub carrier spacing in 5G NR?

I think because of frequency spectrum range in 5G NR which can be from 3 kilohertz (kHz) up to 300 gigahertz (GHz). For lower band frequency we have 15KHz sub carrier spacing and for higher bands(28GHz, 39GHz etc..) we have higher sub carrier spacing to reduce intereference and minimize frequency error.
